Aloha one and all, and welcome to 2013!

A couple of thoughts:

--  I can't wait for the NFL playoffs, but I am already saddened that we will be without the NFL, soon.

--  If I hear the phrase "Fiscal Cliff" one more time, I think I'll be sick.  This was an exercise of pure self-preservation and self-promotion.  Yes, the democrats are more successful than the GOP in negotiating and owning message, but is their agenda truly in their best interest or the nation's?

--  Who really thought that when Sen. Inouye passed that Brian Schatz would be the one?  Oh, c'mon...If so, I bet you took Seattle to make it to the Super Bowl, too.

--  We went camping on the North Shore for our vacation this year.  It was glorious to be disconnected from phone, iPad, iPhone, etc.... We LOVED it!

--  We have a new mayor, several new councilmembers, new senators and a new congresswoman.  Does it really make a difference to what we've already come to know?

--  I have to admit...I like the fireworks situation on NYE.  Before, it was a battle zone.  Now, it's sane.  I like to pop some fireworks, but it was getting out of hand.

--  Hate to say it, but Notre Dame is going down to Alabama.  Sorry, Manti.
