Aloha and welcome to Tuesday!
What a great weekend...
-- The NFL action was incredible...The Ravens taking down the Patriots was a delight. Let me be straight; I am NOT a Patriots fan. Yes, I respect the players and what they have accomplished. But, let's be honest...in the past several years, the Pats have been chokers and chief amongst them is Tom Brady. Yes, it's a storied franchise and making it to the playoffs is a feather in the cap. But, with losses to the Giants and others in the big games, the Pats have not been able to close. And, this weekend was a butt whipping. So, is Bellicheck still the guru, the standard for coaching? Well, maybe to get back to the top, he should roll more video tape of opponent's practices.
-- I love the Niners. But, bad news...the Ravens are destined to win the Super Bowl. It's one of those mystical things. Think back to the 2007 season for the NY Giants when they beat the previously underfeated and aforementioned Patriots. It's all about Baltimore this year.
-- The State of the State is today. Let me just sum it up for you....spending your money. There will be several initiatives to separate you from your wallet. How about the $30 plus million for pre-school subsidies? That's just the beginning. The question really is, "Will this Democrat controlled state EVER reduce spending?" Heck no.
-- Sorry, I didn't have a chance to watch the Inauguration of President Obama. I chose to spend time with my kids. I am sure the multiple millions of dollars to pay for the self-indulgence of ushering another term was well spent. Hey, whether it's a GOP or Dem president, the whole idea of a coronation of a public servant seems oxymoronic. But, what do I know?
Be sure to tune in to the Big Show this morning...see you then!
