Good morning and welcome to Wednesday!
The president gave his State of the Union Address last night. It was a combination of old, recycled ideas and a bold proclamation that this administration believes government is the center of our universe.
It was interesting to note that the president claimed that all of his proposals for government intervention and assistance would not raise the deficit one dime. Ummmm, we’ve been at a pace of increasing our deficit by a trillion dollars a year since he took office. Plus, what about all the other policies already passed that will continue to have a financial impact on you, the US citizen.
Be sure to tune in at 7A today for a chat about what POTUS presented.
No pot for YOU!!!
Lawmakers have ensured that the legalization of marijuana will not happen this year. Shelving the bill means it’s only MOSTLY dead. Look for the a continuance into next year where the debate will continue.
Also, same sex marriage appears to dead, too. But, anything can happen. Remember a couple of years ago when it was assumed that civil union legislation was dead, too. Then, mystically, it reappeared in conference (after substantially gutting an existing bill) and it magically became law. Just sayin’....
See you this morning....Richard Cricchio joins us for the hour at 8A and it’s me and Gregg Hammer at 9A....be there or be somewhere else!!
