Happy Valentine’s Day!!!  A great day on the show today...

If you missed it, you missed a conversation with Rep. Colleen Hanabusa where we covered a bit of the president’s State of the Union.  I love Colleen, but we are still miles apart on political ideology.  I contested her support of Head Start expansion and the proposal in Hawaii to fund and subsidize early education for four year olds.
But, it’s always good to hear the thoughts of our representatives and I thank Colleen for coming on and having a chat.

We also spent time with Sen. Sam Slom.  We are in deep financial Kim Chee.  So deep that we may not get out of it.  If you saw a headline in today’s paper that we are over $8 billion behind in funding our ERS, the number is more like $20B once you factor in the health insurance obligations.

Plus, we spoke with Anneke Green of the White House Writers Bureau.  She is amazing!  I love chatting with her about national/international issues.  Her take on the North Korean missile pursuit was timely and relevant to those of us in Hawaii.

Heaven on Earth Spa and Salon was in studio to tell us all about Valentine’s Day ideas and MJ got a big rub in the studio!

AND...Cliff Slater gave us an update on the rail suit appeal...folks, it’s NOT a done deal!
