Which leads us to the close call with an asteroid happening at 9:24 this morning. 17,000 miles sounds like a long way away, but that’s actually closer than some communications satellites in orbit.

We’ll be talking with Malia Zimmerman of Hawaii Reporter this morning at 8:35. There is a move afoot to dis-empower journalists with watered down effectiveness of the shield law. There are some dire implications and we should all be concerned when there is any mitigation of freedom of speech.
