It was a heck of a day today on the Big Show...

First of all...GREAT WEEKEND!  Took the kids to see Escape From Planet Earth in 3-D and with snacks, it came out to almost $90!!!!  We all had a chat after and, as good as the movie was, we are DONE with paying this much money to see a movie.  We have a great set up at home where the cost of a popcorn is 80 cents a bag and water is FREE!  So, it's movie night at Casa de Hamada from now on!

The GOP leadership in Hawaii is virtually non-existent.  This is not to be offensive, but to me there is a vacuum of leadership.  Sure, there is contentment within those heading the party, but what about those of us who are looking for vigorous debate, substantive dialogue and inspiration?  Quick...who is the highest ranked Republican leader in Hawaii?  Right, if you said Sam Slom.  But, who's next?  Exactly.  Faithfully and hopefully, a new GOP will emerge.  It's just not ready for prime time now.
